Faith, Freedom, and Forward Momentum at Holyrood

Faith, Freedom, and Forward Momentum at Holyrood

This week, the Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) Foundation was delighted to be represented at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh by trustee Daryl Watson, alongside Dr Brian Grim of the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation.

Hosted by MSPs John Mason, Stephen Kerr and Murdo Fraser, the day was an opportunity to discuss the importance of religious freedom not only as a human right but as a vital component of flourishing, inclusive societies and thriving economies.

The visit included attendance at First Minister’s Questions, thoughtful dialogue over lunch, and a shared commitment to explore new ways of raising awareness and engagement with FoRB across Scotland’s diverse communities.

We were also pleased to see Brian proudly adopt the Scottish Parliament tartan tie, some say he didn’t want to be outdone by Daryl’s!

This is just the beginning of an ongoing journey. Next stop? Arthur’s Seat, for inspiration and elevation!
