FoRB Student Council of Ambassadors: A Year of Growth, Advocacy, and Impact

The FoRB Foundation is proud to work with the students in the FoRB Student Council of Ambassadors, who are dedicated to advancing human rights and freedom of religion or belief, both in their own communities and across the world.

This past year, the council has had many opportunities to learn more about how they can get involved and make a real difference. One of the main focuses of the council has been creating more opportunities to interact with Parliament and learn more about how the United Kingdom handles and approaches FoRB violations.

In November 2025, the students got to meet with David Smith MP, the special envoy for FoRB, who offered his full support for the council and endorsed the students’ efforts. They have also met with prominent human rights activists, non-profit directors, and other prominent leaders.

Additionally, the students have spent more time engaging with official Parliamentary events, such as the launch of the 2025 Religious Freedom in the World Report. These opportunities have given the council members a better understanding of United Kingdom politics and the important role that governments can play in promoting and protecting freedom of religion or belief around the world.

Along with Parliamentary events, the council hosts multiple general meetings throughout the year. They discuss current FoRB violations happening worldwide and the importance of educating the rising generation about this important work so they can work together to combat the abhorrent violations happening every day.

The FSCA believes change can start with even just one person to spread awareness and understanding not just in foreign countries, but also within our own communities.

The FoRB Foundation hopes to continue facilitating events with the FSCA and expanding opportunities for young people to get involved. We believe the rising generation plays a crucial role in creating change and forming a better world with more peace and understanding.
