Readout at Parliament

On March 5th, the APPG FoRB held an event in partnership with the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation focusing on creating and fostering faith-friendly workplaces within the business field to increase social and economic well-being. Speakers included: Ruth Jones, MP; Oliver Pawle, the London based Chairman of Korn Ferry Board Services Practice; Sukie Singh, the vice president of Faithforce at Salesforce; Brian Grim, the founding president of the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation; Baroness Verma and chaired by Jim Shannon, MP.

With business representatives from the UK present a discussion took place highlighting and sharing views on the current situation of Freedom of Religion or Belief and the challenges people are facing around the world.  Historically business has led with cultural change, looking for opportunities of diversity, equity, and inclusivity.  When people feel the business cares about them, they care about the business.  Often the social change we are looking for will start within business and as business in general demonstrates respect toward people of no belief and people of faith the culture will spill over into social and community circles.
